The Salt Lake JACL is a chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), which is the oldest Asian American civil rights group in the nation.
Established to advocate for the rights and culture of Japanese Americans and other Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), the Salt Lake JACL focuses on promoting equity and social justice through education, community engagement, and policy advocacy.
Our chapter organizes cultural events, workshops, and projects to raise awareness about issues affecting the community, while also honoring the rich heritage and beautiful diversity within AAPI communities. By fostering understanding and collaboration, the Salt Lake JACL plays a crucial role in protecting our AAPI communities and building a more inclusive society.
